Abstract
The role of Designers is basically important in the development of sustainable MSs: he has both the goal to modify products in order to increase their environmental performance and to make these changes acceptable to people. On the scientific basis of Methodical Design Theory, the research performed lead to a Design Procedure (Design For Sustainable Products, DFSP), addressed to the development of more Eco-efficient Products. The Procedure DFSP was tested on the design of a Multipurpose vehicle: particularly, were deepened the study on its Modularity and the analysis of its frame, both from the environmental impact and from the structural point of view, by a deep structural calculation (using the Space Frame technology for Aluminium).
